This Privacy Policy explains how StitcherGuys LLC, a Kansas limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Loom & Thread (the "Service"). We aim to collect only what we need to run the Service well.
We use your information to provide and maintain the Service, to save and sync your weaving data across your devices, to process subscriptions, to communicate with you about your account, and to keep the Service secure. We do not sell your personal information.
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run Loom & Thread. Each processes data on our behalf, only as needed to provide its part of the Service, and under its own terms and security practices:
Some optional features generate written content using Anthropic's AI service. The information we send for these features is limited to what is needed to produce the result, such as a topic, a category, or an aggregate number like the total yardage in your stash. It does not include your name, email address, account details, or the contents of your projects. Anthropic processes these inputs as a sub-processor and does not use them to train its models. If you do not use these features, no data is sent to Anthropic.
The Library sometimes links out to books and other resources on retailer sites, including Amazon. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Where a link is marked as an affiliate link, buying through it may earn me a small commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes which titles I recommend or how they're described.
We use cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account yourself at any time from the app's data settings ("Delete My Account"). When you do, your uploaded photos, PDFs, and pattern files are removed right away, and your account and remaining personal data (your projects, looms, stash, and equipment) are scheduled for permanent deletion after a 30-day grace period. During that period you can sign back in and reactivate your account to keep it; after 30 days the deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
After deletion we retain only anonymized, non-identifying usage counts (with no link to you) for aggregate analytics, along with any records we are required to keep for tax or legal reasons. Deleting your account does not affect our shared reference catalogs (the yarn database, resource library, and lexicon), which contain no personal information.
You can view and edit your content inside the Service at any time, and you can export a backup of your data from the app's data settings. You can also delete your account yourself from the data settings (see "Data retention" above). Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To make a request, email us at the address below.
Loom & Thread is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No online service can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data and to respond promptly to any issues.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the date above and, for significant changes, take reasonable steps to let you know.
